An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Practitioner to join Perth City Community Mental Health Team. There is one 1.0 WTE post, full time (37hrs).
This is a new role within our community mental health nursing team and will complement the interventions offered to people with a wide range of mental health problems.
Successful candidates will participate in the planning and carrying out of holistic, protocol-based care under the direction and supervision of registered mental health nurses, and will assist and support the multidisciplinary team in the delivery of quality care. Opportunities to work and learn alongside our other community services will be available.
Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team you will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills as a core component of your role.

Candidates must have experience of working in Health Care and have relevant qualification at SCQF level 8.

Hours of work are: 37 Hours (part time hours considered), currently Monday to Friday
You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment. Information on the Healthcare Support Worker Regulations can be found on NHS Tayside microsite on Staffnet>Our Websites>Healthcare Support Workers.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflect the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
