We wish to recruit a radiographer to join our existing Tayside MRI scanning team. This post should appeal to a radiographer with MRI experience who wishes to expand their knowledge and be involved in developing MRI techniques.
We actively encourage staff to pursue additional responsibilities and post graduate education.
Flexible working patterns are required to cover extended operational hours across all our Tayside MRI sites.
The successful applicant will be expected to undertake training in the administration of contrast media and foreign body orbit x- ray reporting.
The hours will be 29.7 hours per week and consist of 4 x 7.5hr weekdays, and some weekend and evening working may also be required. On-call may also be required and is based at Ninewells hospital.
Although the advertised post has Perth Royal Infirmary as the base hospital, there will be rotation to the other Tayside MRI Departments. Induction and training will take place across all the MRI sites.
As part of the National delivery plan for AHPs, NHS Tayside is developing services that offer direct access, 7 day service and genuine partnership with patients.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
