Porano is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager with a strong culinary background to lead our quick-service restaurant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in restaurant management and possess hands-on cooking experience, preferably as a Sous Chef or higher. The GM will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, food quality, customer service, and financial performance, ensuring an exceptional dining experience that reflects Porano’s brand and standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
**Leadership & Management:**
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house.
- Hire, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
**Culinary Oversight:**
- Supervise kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu items that align with Porano’s brand.
- Participate in cooking and food preparation as needed, particularly during peak hours or special events.
- Maintain inventory levels, manage food costs, and ensure the proper storage and handling of ingredients.-
**Customer Service:**
- Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive customer reviews.
- Oversee customer interactions and handle any escalated complaints or concerns.-
**Financial Management:**
- Manage the restaurant’s budget, including labor costs, food costs, and other operational expenses.
- Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and financial record-keeping.-
**Marketing & Community Engagement:**
- Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. - Represent Porano in the local community, building relationships and promoting the brand.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a General Manager in the restaurant industry, with a preference for quick service or fast-casual concepts.
- Culinary experience, preferably as a Sous Chef or higher, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial reports.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering high-quality food and experiences.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
