Job Description

As a Sales Representative, you will be tasked with one of the most important duties in the agency. Agency staff members perform the fundamental role of offering insurance products and building strong relationships within the community. Producers will have the opportunity to work as a member of a team of professionals focused on providing insurance and financial products to help customers protect their homes, cars, lives, and retirement income.

Insurance Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Ensure positive customer experience with every interaction
  • Handle and process all leads (in person, phone, presentation, service, etc) in a timely manner
  • Deepening customer relationships by educating and selling additional products
  • Provide excellent customer service by processing payments and assisting clients during claims reporting
  • Conducting needs-based policy reviews and updating policies and coverages as needed
  • Cross-selling existing customers with other Farmers products where available
  • Prospecting and generating new business through leads and referrals
  • Generate accurate quotes at high volumes
  • Work well in a team environment and cultivate relationships with others
  • Maintain proper time management and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate documentation in agency systems
Requirements
  • Insurance Sales Representative Qualifications:
  • Property and casualty, and life licenses are required
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • Willing to continually learn to better yourself and the agency
  • Strong motivation for continued growth
  • Previous sales experience is a plus but not required
