Nicor Inc. is Hiring a Regional Sales Manager Near Texas, TX

We are a fast-growing company within the utilities space and are currently seeking a Southwest Regional Manager to be positioned in California. The primary responsibility is to serve as the customer-facing representative for the company. This includes new account development and maintaining existing customer relationships with a focus on growing distribution and gaining spec acceptance from Utilities. The Regional Sales Manager will develop the market to achieve yearly goals working each opportunity through the complete sales cycle including estimating, quoting, bid review, negotiating, and closing.

Job Requirements:

  • Develop and lead account plans and strategies for each assigned account leveraging all available resources
  • Drive revenue growth through new project identification, creation, and new opportunities
  • Estimate project material/freight requirements, create the proposal, submit and negotiate with the customer, and follow up to close the sale.
  • Forecast and report activity accurately in line with expectations
  • Identify major projects within end-user accounts and manage activities to maximize product and service revenue
  • Provide customers and partners with pricing and solution configurations to meet their needs
  • Forge high-level relationships with Distributors, Utilities, Contractors, and Engineering accounts to win incremental product and service business
  • Follow through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory to full completion
  • Assist customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommend suitable resolutions accordingly

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant sales or field service experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B or B2G experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: utility industry, Meter and System equipment or product manufacturing
  • Experience in applying creative solution-selling methodologies to maximize revenue growth

  • Position includes base salary and uncapped performance-based commissions
