Night School is a cocktail pizza parlor and brewery taproom (home of Deep Fried Beers) in Athens, NY.

Our hours: Mon-Thu 4-10pm, Fri-Sun: noon-midnight

Bartender

• Interact directly with customers, taking orders and serving drinks and food
• Assess bar patrons' needs and preferences and make suitable recommendations
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons with care and consistency. From pouring own beer on draft along side a curated tap list, to elevated wine service and craft cocktails, we take great pride in everything we serve
• Communicate with the Kitchen staff regarding food orders, and bar prep needs
• Open/close the bar & dining room
• Maintain a clean bar and work area, collaborate with co-workers to maintain a clean and inviting dining room

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Basic knowledge of craft beer
• Knowledge of classic cocktails and ability to work with unique ingredients
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Proficient in sales, basic math, and cash handling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus
• Availability for a minimum of 2 shifts per week

$15/hr base wage tips.

Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
