Job Summary:

MATERNAL FETAL MEDICINE (MFM) ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST 8 week assignment at Englewood Hospital to cover a leave of absence REQUIRED: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MFM high-risk in these areas below: - Detailed Anatomy Scan/with heart views - Nuchal Translucency - ARDMS registered - experienced with Amnio /CVS - MCA/UA Dopplers

Duties:

- Perform and interpret a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Utilize anatomical and physiological knowledge to identify normal and abnormal findings, and document results accurately.
- Maintain aseptic technique in the performance of all procedures, adhering to infection control policies and guidelines.
- Conduct patient assessments, obtain necessary medical history, and communicate findings and results to patients and healthcare providers.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple patients and tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical imaging software and equipment, including sonography and other diagnostic modalities.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate with radiologists, other medical professionals, and support staff to ensure the delivery of comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree in Sonography or a related field.
- A current sonography certification, such as ARDMS or CCI.
- Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and interpretation.
- Experience with medical imaging software and equipment, including sonography and other diagnostic modalities.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control policies and guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patients and tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a patient-centered environment, demonstrating empathy and compassion for patients.
