Nikkiso ACD is an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in machinery designed to operate at cryogenic temperatures as low as 420 degrees Fahrenheit, the boiling point of Liquid hydrogen. For over 50 years, Nikkiso ACD has specialized in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps as well as turbines for air separation. Nikkiso ACD has the most diversified product line in the industry covering nearly every application requiring pumps or turboexpanders.

This position is based at Nikkiso ACD, LLC, located in Santa Ana, CA.

Assembles parts to form complete units or subassemblies according to specifications and company policy.

• Prepares and sets up parts and assemblies for welding or brazing to established shop practice from blueprints.
• Fits, coordinates, checks, straightens, aligns, and assembles parts and assemblies prior to and after welding or brazing operations.
• Lays out, assembles and aligns mechanical parts such as motors, tank, pumps, drives, heat exchangers, vaporizers, piping, gauges, valves, etc. in accordance with blueprints or other instructions.
• Lays out, plots, and bends tubing in accordance with blueprints or other instructions.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, shears, grinders, drills, saws, tube bending and flaring equipment, pipe threading, and other items to be used in assembly

• Must have good knowledge of valves, pumps, hydraulics, fluid and pneumatic systems, and refrigeration equipment.
• Proficient in tube bending and flaring
• Knowledge of basic computer operation.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and have a complete understanding of blueprints.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the job in a highly capable manner with minimum supervision.

Physical Demands

• Gloves required in assembly work.
• Ear protection required at all times in high noise areas.
• Ability to frequently lift objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
• May be asked to work with various chemicals and solvents.
