Position Summary: This position will lead and support the Nikkiso Cryogenic Pumps Global Engineering Team and report directly to the Pumps President. The Vice President, Engineering will coordinate and oversee the work of the engineering team and provides leadership, support and focus while ensuring company goals are met worldwide.

1. Provides leadership for all domestic and international engineering teams.
2. Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
3. Oversees a robust engineering process and delivery timelines to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
4. Utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives.
5. Formalize engineering rules, improving our ability to incorporate new resources and educate our personnel.
6. Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities and projects within the organization.
7. Implements and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives.
8. In charge of product rationalization and standardization.
9. New product introduction process with phase gates including design for manufacturability.
10. Utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives.
11. Responsible for generating and implementing recovery plans for past due engineering milestones to ensure test dates and contractual delivery requirements are maintained.
12. Identify cost reduction, opportunities through value engineering initiatives in relation to engineering designs and drawings,
13. Chase for improving durability and reliability,
14. Direct, review, and approve product designs and engineering change requests.
15. Ensure engineering procedures required to mitigate risk of engineering flaws in designs or drawings are in place and being executed.
16. Conducts a continuous search of new materials, processes, and procedures to enhance and improve the product line.

Required Experience and Education:

• BS Mechanical Engineering is required, MS preferred.
• 15 years in a progressively responsible leadership role in engineering field
• Extensive knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria
• Wide technical culture and knowledge of cryogenic fluids as well as Cryogenic pumps,
• Knowledge of pressure vessels / piping.
• Used to work with highly structured industries like EPCs / Marine / Automotive.

Work Environmental and Physical Demands:

• In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
• Jobs will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to a clients office, Nikkiso production facility or industrial/construction job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
• May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.
