Job Description:

• Develop and maintain AS400 applications using CL, RPG, and ILE concepts.
• Design, implement, and optimize DB2 Database structures and queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of AS400 applications.
• Utilize Aldon and other version control tools to manage code releases and changes.
• Enhance existing systems by integrating new functionalities using Synon and COBOL.
• Implement and maintain Hawkeye for performance monitoring and reporting.
• Ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and documentation practices.
• Participate in software development lifecycle activities including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers and team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an AS400 Developer with strong proficiency in CL, RPG, and ILE concepts.
• Solid understanding of DB2 Database development and optimization techniques.
• Experience with version control tools such as Aldon and proficiency in COBOL and Synon would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with performance monitoring tools like Hawkeye.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a keen interest in staying updated with industry trends and advancements.
