Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk I

Location: Buena Park, CA, 90620

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Description:
Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for smooth operation of the warehouse. Clerk sends, accepts, and records the movement raw materials and finished goods in DOT approved packaged for the Client chemicals facility.

Duties include:

• shipping & receiving of materials and maintaining inventories.
• loading and unloading packaged material to and from box trailers.
• monitoring and controlling material flows in & out of facility.
• staging raw materials for consumption.
• other miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors.

Position duties and responsibilities:

• Primary contact for shipping & receiving of packaged materials.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, stenciling and manifest shipping.
• Prepare large shipments (cap & band, seal, stage).
• Load & unload box trailers.
• Operate hand-truck and warehouse equipment (PIV).
• Stage large volume raw materials under direction of Coordinator and Supply Chain.
• Inbound/Outbound documentation filing.
• Maintain physical inventories of materials and products.
• Create SAP inventory entries, including labeling and storage locations.
• Cycle Counts of material.
• Maintain high level of safety and housekeeping without supervision.
• Support as directed by Supply Chain Planner on special projects & process evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Must have analytical skills.
• Must be physically fit to operate manual equipment and lift 30 kgs (60 lbs).
• Ability to drive fork trucks and hand trucks.
• Ability to process data record MS Excel required.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Chemical plant experience desired
• Steel Toed Shoes Required

Job Types: Temporary, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
• Shipping & receiving: 3 years (Required)
• SAP: 1 year (Required)
• chemicals: 1 year (Preferred)
