Title: Medical Office Manager, Pulmonary

Location: Nimbus Health seeks to hire a dynamic and experienced Medical Office Manager for our Pulmonary Practice located in Sun City West, AZ

Role Summary: The Medical Office Manager is responsible for effective and efficient day-to-day business activities. Reporting directly to the Administrator/CEO, the Medical Office Manager organizes and monitors the work of support staff, coordinates workflows, implements approved systems, policies, and procedures to maintain service and quality standards, and acts as a resource to clinicians and staff. The Medical Office Manager actively engages with employees to improve policy and procedural adherence and to promote a high level of employee and patient satisfaction.

This role is very fast-paced, and productivity driven. It requires strong customer service, employee relations and communication skills and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and supervise clinical and administrative staff.
  • Frequently communicate and market the practice to referring providers, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and hospitals
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with people with various levels of medical knowledge.
  • Manage and support the Medical Assistants with their performance of diagnostic procedures and processes to include PFT, Lab, and EKG tests. Oversee patient registration, administrative processes.
  • Manage administrative processes to ensure appropriate billing and claim submissions and follow up.
  • Resolve revenue cycle (billing and claims) errors as identified by the revenue cycle management (RCM) team.
  • Implementing improvement opportunities as identified by Revenue Cycle Coordinator
  • Manage Patient Care Coordinator(s) to ensure appropriate patient engagement, care coordination, and excellent customer services are being provided.
  • Manage the daily workflow meeting through-put standards.
  • The ability to manage and measure KPIs to meet operational goals.
  • Manage the Nimbus at Home (NAH) services
  • Take ownership of outcomes and success
  • Manage enrollment and audit for opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) or Third party partner
  • Model a team centered care model

Qualifications:

  • 3 years as a strong and energetic leader in an outpatient setting – required
  • RN or RT – preferred
  • Pulmonology, acute care, or internal medicine experience – required.
  • Strong knowledge of patient flow, registration, scheduling and revenue cycle functions – required
  • 3 years of EMR experience in both clinical and administrative modules (registration, schedule, template management) – required (eCW experience preferred)
  • Principal Care Management (PCM)
  • BLS-Healthcare
  • Valid COVID-19 vaccination
  • Genuine passion for patient care – required
