JOB SUMMARY

The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for internal systems related to food safety in addition to the roles of QA/QC specialist. The QA/QC supervisor understands the management philosophy, customer requests, and various regulations, and together with the QA/QC manager, supervises the overall quality assurance operations of the QA/QC section, and strives to achieve goals through continuous improvement. Important responsibilities for food safety must be executed by QA/QC Supervisor, well-trained team members and upper management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for all the product's food safety and quality.
  • Responsible for all QA/QC related documents. Confirm the accuracy and correctness of the documents issued by QA/QC.
  • Complete QA/QC daily inspection schedule
  • Manage and correspond to all 3rdparties and customers’ audits as the main person.
  • Conduct R&D, sales and QA related tests required by customers.
  • Conduct hazard analysis for all new and current products, ingredients, and packaging.
  • Maintain and supervise food-related regulations to be updated in our company.
  • Keep seeking for the best ways to up-to-date and improve the current system.
  • Find solutions to all the problems which are considered between the ideal situation and the current situation with upper management speedy and by the deadline. Remove obstacles and take various measures to achieve the goal.
  • Reduce product-related complaints.
  • Join company’s projects such as big constructions of the facility overseeing food safety management.
  • Perform all assistant and specialist work if needed.
  • Not limited to the above. Need to follow directions of your manager or upper management if needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Need to instruct new employees of QA/QC about QA/QC jobs and give guidance and training to them.
  • Assign members to each job correctly, timely, and speedily in accordance with production schedules and customer requests.
  • Create an environment where the entire team works toward achieving the goal.
  • Try to increase customer satisfaction with our products.
  • Communicate a lot with other departments to job gets done smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Legally authorized to work in the US without any visa support.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above for food science or related science such as biology or chemistry.
  • HACCP certification
  • Completion of Better Process Control School
  • Completion of a SQF exam
  • Experience as a SQF Practitioner
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a car.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently at business level.
  • Ability to lift over 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work standing and/or sitting for 8 hours a day or longer.
  • Ability to use MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows operation system.
  • Basic calculation skills (Addition, multiplication, subtraction, division)
  • Able to eat, taste and analyze all ingredients, products and cooked items including meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits, wheat, soy, peanuts, and sesame.
  • Ability to cook by using kitchen items.
  • Comply with company rules.
  • Punctuality.
  • Work following company policies.
  • Focus on the task given by the company.
  • Ability to work with honesty, perseverance, and continuance.
  • Be a good listener.
  • Affirm and accept the other person without imposing your own values.
  • Manage time while prioritizing tasks.
