NIPS Future Skills is Hiring a Quality Control Specialist Near Hogansville, GA

Title: Quality Control Specialist Department/Team: Quality Team

Reports to: Sr. Quality Manager

MAJOR FUNCTION:

1. Conduct Product Tests and Assessment

2. Identify Product Defect or Potential Issues

3. Implement Root-Cause Analysis to resolve the Issues and Corrective Actions

4. Support Process Improvements

5. Report Overall Quality Control Plan and Performance Results (KPI)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

1. Evaluate production samples for conformance to customer’s specifications

2. Assist in development of Standard Operating Procedures in the plant

3. Work with production to solve customer/product issues as necessary

4. Leads and assists in investigations for product complaints

5. Develop countermeasures to prevent non-conformance issues

6. Create, organize and maintain QC/QA documentation

7. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the processes and process change

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Skill with Microsoft office programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Strong detail-oriented, time management, and organizational skills
  • Skill reading and understanding 2D & 3D drawing in terms of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands
  • Skill in working within deadlines to complete assignments
  • Skill in identifying and recommending solutions to problems
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assumes other duties as assigned by Production Sr. Manager.

PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:

1. 4year college graduated

2. Skill with Microsoft office programs (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

3. Strong detail-oriented, time management, and organizational skills

4. Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks and demands

5. Skill in working within deadlines to complete assignments

6. Skill in identifying and recommending solutions to problems

7. At least 2years quality control experience required.

8. Experience in automobile manufacturing industry preferred.

9. Understanding process (procedure) of relevant teams

10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Organizational Relationships:

1. Accountable to the Quality Sr. Manager for all phases of activities.

2. Close coordination with Quality Sr. Manager and leadership with immediate co-workers for all phases of their activities

3. Advises, consults, and coordinates with:

a. Top Management: Any Quality Related Issue

b. Middle Management and Supervisors: as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
