NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.
The RoleAs the Director of Business Strategy & Analytics, you will lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and data-driven decisions for NJ/NY Gotham FC. This role will be responsible for overseeing the business strategy and analytics functions, driving revenue growth, enhancing fan experience, and improving operational efficiency. The Director will work closely with various departments to support ticket sales, sponsorship, marketing, and overall strategic planning. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NJ/NY Gotham FC through data-driven insights and strategic leadership.

Salary range: $130,000 - $160,000 plus benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, enhance fan experience, and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with ticketing, sponsorship, and marketing teams to optimize pricing, revenue models, and marketing strategies.
- Work with finance and accounting teams to prepare and analyze financial reports and projections.
- Design and implement dashboards and other reporting tools to provide real-time performance tracking.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems.
- Act as a key liaison between the Business Strategy & Analytics team and other departments to align goals and drive strategic initiatives.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Identify and share best practices across the organization to support process improvements and strategic goals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Serve as the primary contact for all strategy and analytics vendors and service providers.
- Oversee the management of CRM systems and other data acquisition tools.
- Deliver ad-hoc analyses and reports to support strategic decision-making as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business strategy, analytics, strategy consulting or a related field, with at least 3 years in the sports industry.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Passion for sports and understanding of the unique dynamics of the industry.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of explaining complex data-driven concepts to diverse audiences.
- High attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
