NMC USA National Medical Care Inc is Hiring a Lead Messaging Engineer Near Lexington, MA

This is a Remote position PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The Lead Messaging Engineer will design and administer the messaging infrastructure environment including hardware and software infrastructure components. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Install, maintain and tune messaging systems for e-mail and application development. Create policies and set standards for security, user administration and database access. Plan and perform installations, upgrades and patches to messaging applications. Provide support for Field Support Staff located at all business unit locations, remote messaging administrators and Help Desk staff. Evaluate third-party software for use with messaging applications. Perform capacity planning and make recommendations as necessary. Work and resolve messaging related tickets in a tier 3 capacity. Assign messaging related tickets to other members of the group. Maintain virus protection for all messaging systems. Create and maintain all user and group lists for e-mail and database access. Create and maintain all messaging discussion groups and document libraries. Create and maintain forms' workflow and approval cycle as requested. Provide web-enabled applications for FMC intranet. May escalate difficult/complex issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary. Mentor other staff as applicable. Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations. Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred or equivalent directly related work experience. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: 8 - 12 years' related experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years' experience; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent directly related work experience. Relevant Technical Certifications preferred. Expert experience with Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) administration and routing. Strong experience with spam filters and anti-spam technologies. Experience Microsoft Windows Server OS and applications. Experience in anti-virus tools and anti-virus technologies. Knowledge in SAN operation. Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols such as TCP/IP and DNS. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to use independent judgment. Ability to use Microsoft office for document creation and reviewing. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good computer and keyboard skills. Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-initiative. Ability to lead by doing, and to educate junior members on staff on technology and process.
