Job Description

Summary

This position is based in Anchorage but will primarily perform deep cleaning services to facilities throughout Alaska. The position is part-time and involves non-traditional schedules with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

* Employee is required to work independently with minimum supervision.

* Cleans offices, public spaces, industrial areas, warehouses, exterior areas, and additional areas as required.

* Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buff, vacuums, etc. all types of floors to include carpeted areas.

* Dusts both low and high areas using ladders and lifts.

* Wipes down or cleans various surfaces to include walls, ceilings, and windows.

* Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.

* Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials.

* Removes and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas.

* May change light bulbs and perform very light facility maintenance.

* May perform painting.

* May operate a vehicle.

* Position requires routine weekly, overnight stays within the State of Alaska with travel by aircraft.

* Other related duties may also be assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

* Some combination or education or experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes. Experience in facility maintenance and painting preferred.

* A valid Alaskan driver's license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier.

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Position requires successful screening through multiple background and security checks.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoors and Outdoors, frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Noise level: Moderate to Loud.

Description of environment: Environment will vary based on the facility assigned to.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently to constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, and work at elevated heights.
