DISHWASHER
Summary
This position is responsible for the dish washing activities of the assigned outlet with primary responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including china, glassware, flatware and equipment, to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operations and maximize profits. Responsible for working in the dish room washing dishes and at breakdown stations during catering functions as well as assisting the Steward as needed. Ensures exceptional guest service through leadership, communication and follow-up with employees.

Essential Duties
- Committed to working any facility and any function within his/her primary job classification.
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes, racks china, glassware and flatware and washes by hand or on dishwashing machine.
- Washes pots, pans and trays.
- Cleans kitchen equipment.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
- Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
- Exercises care, performs required maintenance and ensures all operating instructions, safety standards and guidelines are followed in relation to COMPANY equipment and/or facility assets.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Assists in plating food for catering functions.
- Trays up food at food distribution areas for catering staff.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Loads and/or unloads trucks picking up or delivering food and supplies.
- Assists Steward as needed.

- Knowledge of cleaning supplies.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Grooming
All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed professional appearance (specific standards available).
Language Skills
Ability to read and speak English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- All mandated Human Resource training.
- Completes all Brand Standard trainings as required.
