Description

A Facility Maintenance Technician’s responsibility is to help with everything from daily maintenance tasks to full facility upgrades. This position needs to have a background in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting and has the ability to start as or rapidly grow into a senior position, planning facility needs for expansion and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Broad (Strategic):

• Ensure the facility runs smoothly, from mechanical systems and production equipment to stocking necessary repair/replacement parts during all operating hours and on-call basis when off-site.
• Work closely with the facilities team to upgrade, repair, and maintain facility equipment, (including the canning line, pasteurizer, chillers, and all packout related machinery), and other critical devices
• Work quickly, safely, and efficiently to immediately resolve issues that are causing production downtime
• Perform mechanical or electronic technical duties in the fabrication, testing, debugging and documentation of standard assemblies, modules and systems.
• Maintain and operate the scheduled maintenance program of the Seabrook facility on an ongoing basis
• Coordinating with the production manager, operations, and packaging manager for downtime to complete installs, repairs, or replacements
• Assist in the coordination of the various contractors, specialists, workers, and technicians that may be involved during specialized projects or repairs
• Identify key issues and implement necessary projects and repairs to ensure that the continued work at the Seabrook facility is safe, efficient, and operational
• Make recommendations for necessary spare parts and backup equipment for efficient performance
• Work with management to maintain adequate spare parts and supplies to ensure efficient operations
• Conduct daily routine inspection of critical systems and report any unusual conditions, defective materials, faulty equipment, and equipment operating or installed incorrectly
• Works from written and/or verbal instructions, technical manuals, engineering specifications and computer-generated schematics. Uses a variety of test equipment and troubleshoots product defects.
• Working knowledge of steam, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, specify needed parts and systems, and place orders as needed
• Assist in vehicle maintenance as needed
• Complete work using a safety first mindset
• Assist with outside projects and activities as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
