The JOB:Sales and Catering CoordinatorThe Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be an integral part of the LaPlaya team. The qualified candidate needs to be able to manage multiple deadline driven projects and tasks, accurately prepare contracts, follow up with vendors and clients, and work directly the sales and catering teams to support business operations.

You Own it if You HAVE:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proofreading skills
  • Some knowledge of social media platforms, and channels
  • A dedicated customer service professional that is committed to the highest quality standards
  • Being the face of the hotel, the sales coordinator needs to be well groomed and must always dress professionally
  • Enjoys being part of vibrant team in a fast paced work environment
  • Able to build relationships with key business partners and customers.
  • Ability to create and edit sales materials and presentations.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits, and other events.
  • High level of proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, WordPress, Google Analytics, Microsoft Teams
  • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports
