JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Active Directory Systems Engineer evaluates and implements new software and hardware products into the infrastructure and designs BCP strategies. Candidates will engineer and test new technology solutions and develop and follow corrective steps for problem resolution and outage situations. Procedures are produced during this process and passed onto support technicians. Engineer is also responsible for recommending solutions for business driven requirements, and uses specialized knowledge in server, workstation, and application infrastructure technologies to recommend enterprise solutions. More experienced Systems Engineers will act as a project manager for medium to large scale infrastructure projects. More experienced Systems Engineers may provide architecture, design and engineering support for level 1 infrastructure servers and services providing directory, application permissions, logon/logoff services and messaging. More experienced Engineers may also lead the work of less experienced Systems Engineers.

Skills:

B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred. Will typically have at least 3 years experience, including large enterprise experience. May have one or more technical or professional certifications. Engineers will work with a high degree of autonomy and without direct supervision. Often the engineers are presented with solely a problem or limited set of requirements and are expected to determine detail requirements and solution alternatives. Frequent and routine contact with vendors, peers, managers, other Technology staff, Business clients. Client server systems, enhanced knowledge of Technology products used at RJ, and regulatory requirements; excellent decisions making skills, and judgment.

• Support AD and DNS / DHCP / IPAM system-based processes.
  Define and implement AD and DNS / DHCP / IPAM support procedures.
  Manage AD and DNS / DHCP / IPAMbusiness requirements and processes.
  Experience with AD migration tools and large-scale AD directory consolidation projects
  Analyzes system requirements, including identifying interactions and appropriate interfaces between affected components and sub systems.
  Proactively plans capacity of platforms and applications.
  Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine software and hardware configuration.
  Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
  Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.
• Must have 5 (five) or more years working experience with DNS / DHCP / IPAM, Active Directory and other related infrastructure. Direct experience with Infoblox is desired.
  Proven hands-on experience with identity, access and authentication management and related tools and technologies.
  Proven hands-on experience with networking solutions such as DNS / DHCP / IPAMand related technologies.
  Strong and proven scripting skills using Powershell, etc.
  Experience with cloud services such as Office 365, Box, Slack, AWS, or Azure.
  Enterprise level experience required, Financial Services experience preferred.
  Knowledge of the following:
  o IP network design practices and principles.
  o Security best practices for Windows-based systems including PKI principles and components.
  o Microsoft Active Directory architecture.
  o Backup and restore technologies.
  o System monitoring and event analysis.
