Noblis MSDs mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are looking to hire an Equipment/Test Engineer with strong MS Office skills professional to provide support to various ship programs for the US Navy.

The Equipment/Test Engineer will work on DDG51 Machinery Control Systems (MCS), Land Base Engineering Site (LBES) on the Electrical and Computer Engineering team for LBES Integration (LBESi). The main function of this candidate will be to provide lifecycle support of fielded and future LBESi equipment at DDG-51 LBES. Configure, monitor, and test DDG51 MCS Software.

This includes managing all onsite installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of LBESi equipment in an industrial environment. This is an onsite position with limited possibilities for remote work.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lifecycle support of LBES configuration and Test Tools which includes, but is not limited to:
   1. Provide service and customer support for equipment including but not limited to PLCs,VME, PXI, microcontrollers, network switches, and software applications.
   2. Observing and testing machinery equipment operation in order to diagnosemalfunctions.
   3. Troubleshoot technical problems, identify possible solutions, and implementrecommended mitigations in a timely manner.
   4. Analyzing test results, machine error messages, and information obtained fromoperators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
   5. Solving complex problems with clear analytical thought, taking into account multiplefactors and tradeoffs.
   6. Develop test procedures to exercise requirements of current and future systems.
   7. Communicating with subject matter experts as needed.
2. Support the design, development, and implementation of new requirements and/or test toolsincluding but not limited to:
   1. Participating in Requirements Development and Design Reviews of next generation TestTools.
   2. Rapid development of prototype Test Tools to facilitate design decisions.
   3. Modification of existing configuration, simulators, and hardware to support new MCSsoftware testing requirements.
   4. Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboardenvironment.
3. May lead and manage all LBESi test activities including software and hardware verification andvalidation.
4. Provide timely feedback to Team Leads, Program Managers, Lead System Engineer (LSE), andSupervisor of equipment status and mitigation plans.
5. Identify deficiencies and improvements for LBES equipment utilized for plantmonitoring/configuration and MCS testing.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred; or equivalent work experience of 6 years. Experience in electrical or computer engineering as it pertains to control systems in an industrial environment highly desired.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio

Proficiency reading and updating wiring diagrams and schematics.

Proficient with tools such as Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, and Signal Generators.

Successful applicants must either have an active government security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis total compensation package for employees.
