Noblis is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to support our Intelligence Community team in Reston, VA
Senior engineers at Noblis utilize their expertise in programming languages, software development methodologies, and engineering principles to create and maintain a variety of applications at different levels of technical readiness. Typical development responsibilities include analyzing user requirements, designing software architecture and system components, implementing features, testing, performing code reviews, and documentation. Technical leaders are expected to continuously evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and improvement in software development processes. Additionally, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members to foster their professional growth and development is key to our success. Expertise in areas such as software design patterns, version control systems, agile methodologies, and software quality assurance enables our organization to develop and deliver high-quality software products that address user needs and drive business value.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Noblis, you are responsible for managing the technical direction for projects as well as directing and mentoring others utilizing your expertise and experience. You serve as the technical lead for clients on assigned projects by driving and organizing work towards the client’s goal, as well as communicating technical details, updates, and direction in a concise and comprehensible manner. You calmly manage uncertainty and risks in difficult situations, relationships and problems. You manage diverse teams of software developers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to create solutions which are both correct and efficient. Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
