*** This position is for potential upcoming opportunities*** The Utility Markets Subject Matter Expert (SME) will assist the government with understanding of current utility markets, including hurdles for utilities in meeting the goals of Executive Order (EO) 14057, “Catalyzing Clean Energy Industries and Jobs through Federal Sustainability.” Work with government representatives to understand market trends, rate structures, contracting requirements, and provide market and data analysis to client and senior leadership as needed. Provide regular updates on utility market changes to client and team members that may affect the ability to meet the CFE requirements of EO 14057. Conduct analytical services as necessary to support decisions, including benchmarking studies and integrates industry trends into overall transition strategies. Work with team members, government client, and the Defense Logistics Agency for Energy’s CFE program office to provide regular updates on the changing utility markets and provide analysis supporting viability of CFE transition opportunities.

Your expertise in areas such as data analytics, financial modeling, and project management methodologies enables organizations to make informed decisions, allocate resources effectively, and optimize project outcomes.
You solve a variety of structured problems by applying professional standards and Noblis concepts and methodologies. You have deep knowledge of the utility markets area and a general awareness of utility Carbon Free Electricity (CFE). Working independently with general instruction, you apply intermediate skills to deliver high quality work products and services to support projects. You are responsible for planning and managing project deliverables and engaging in open-minded interactions with federal clients and coworkers to deliver results. You are also responsible for expanding your capabilities in your current work and leveraging opportunities to grow through interactions across the organization.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.
