WAREHOUSE LEAD

THE ROLE

This Warehouse Lead position performs daily tasks aimed to improve the quality and accuracy of inventory control, order accuracy, and warehouse management system controls. Reporting to the Supervisor and working alongside the warehouse associates, you will set the lead in all processes ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and needed problem solving. You will also be part of the Exceptions Team in resolving issues innovating new solutions. This is a fast-paced Omni-Channel with great opportunities to learn, add value, succeed and grow.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Intervenes when QC issues arise by replacing damaged items, incorrect sizes, or wrong items
• Audits outbound orders for sortation accuracy and packing quality 
• Proficient in all shipping processes and troubleshoot any device or equipment issues that occur
• Trains new hires in shipping processes 
• Tracks and documents department metrics throughout the day in various spreadsheets
• Ensures all required orders are shipped timely and accurately, which is achieved by maintaining a FIFO strategy
• Hands out work assignments to employees while following the FIFO strategy 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use and reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus 
• Rarely exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals 
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Minimum high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 months of previous warehouse operations or similar experience preferred 
• Prior experience with Google or Microsoft spreadsheets and word processing documents preferred
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure 
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence 
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
