Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Position Overview Nonin is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Materials team as the Inventory Control Coordinator. In this position, you will Identify and correct any issues related to inventory accuracy and material transactions, review material usages and ensure that materials are accurately issued to jobs. Additionally, you will review batch/lot information and ensure inventory movements are correct in the inventory management system.
Essential Job Functions - Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely
- Conduct inventory cycle counts in a perpetual inventory environment; including consigned inventory at outside locations
- Coordinate the cycle count process and results to identify necessary actions and provide regular reports on the results
- Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor warehouse transfers for accuracy as directed by the materials group
- Manage expired part list and ensure FIFO practices are being followed
- Monitor pick usage and recommend relocation improvements for consolidation, finished goods and raw material inventory using lean principles.
- Manage 5S processes and recommend improvement opportunities or projects
- Train all Warehouse Clerks and team members completing inventory movements in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Write and maintain work instructions for controlling all inventory transactions
Required Education & Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in inventory management within an ERP system
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Perpetual inventory in ERP
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
- Financial acumen
Preferred Qualifications: - Continuous improvement processes
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
- Familiar with lean methodologies such as 5S
- Completed course(s) via ASCM (formerly APICS)
- Material handling experience
Physical Requirements: - Stand/sit and walk for up to 8 hours per day
- Regular lifting and twisting of torso with packages of up to 25 pounds
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Occasional climbing of ladders
- Occasional exposure to dust/particulates
