Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple survey projects, including tasks such as estimating and preparing proposals.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of all land surveying phases, including boundary analysis, topography, survey control networks, and GPS.
- Manage the entire survey process, encompassing technical aspects, staff management, and scheduling.
- Provide supervision and direction to field crews and office staff, while maintaining effective communication with client representatives and internal engineering project managers.
- Conduct business operations, including preparing billing reports and invoices.
- Develop and implement quality control reviews, safety procedures, and quality assurance protocols, including the final QC of all survey documents.
Experience
- Preferred but not required: New York Professional Surveyors License.
- At least 7 years of diverse experience in land surveying, including client meetings, budget and schedule management, and field staff coordination.
- Preferred: Experience with NYC agencies and urban surveys.
- Strong professional motivation to deliver high-quality outcomes with extensive knowledge of boundary, topographic, control, and construction survey practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Leica LGO/Infinity, Leica robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Mandatory company background check.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate Degree.
- Preferred but not required: Experience with MicroStation.
- Preferred but not required: Experience with Carlson Survey software.
