Provide project management oversight and apply engineering expertise in daily operational tasks for roadway projects, including preparing Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E), preliminary engineering reports, schematic design, drainage design, and Traffic Control Plans (TCPs).
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Guide the use of MicroStation, GeoPak (Road and Drainage), and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) in the design processes.
Design streets and highway projects, covering horizontal and vertical geometry, modeling, drainage design, retaining wall design, and development of deliverables.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent discipline from an accredited program.
Texas PE License preferred; EITs close to obtaining PE will also be considered.
Over 3 years of experience in highway design and transportation engineering.
Proficient in using and guiding others in MicroStation, GeoPak (Road and Drainage), and OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
Experience in designing streets and highway projects (PS&E), including geometry design, modeling, drainage design, retaining wall design, quantity calculations, and deliverable development.
Preferred experience with TxDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures.
