This is a full time 100% onsite position.
We are looking for an experienced accountant with experience in the construction industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- The role requires strong attention to detail and communication skills to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable activity
- Follow up on past due accounts and communicate with customers via telephone, email, mail or personally.
- Other government reporting related to the construction industry (Heavy Haul, IFTA, I29, Others)
- Process credit card payments.
- Process annual 1099’s
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis; verifying information
- Participate in financial statement audit
Job Requirements
- 5 years of Accounting experience
- 3 years working within the construction industry.
- Accounts receivable/payable experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot tables
- Setup Vendors ensuring W-9s are received and recorded properly
- Sage experience and implementation
- Must have the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
