The Quality Control Technician supports te production process by testing and inspecting products at various stages, and then compiling and evaluating statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliablity of products. The incumbent will work Monday through Friday, with shifts starting at either 6:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. Some overtime may be required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
  • Select products for tests at specified stages in the production prcess and test products for a variety of qualities including dimension, performance adn mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
  • Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from exissting standards.
  • Reommend modications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Set up and perform destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
  • Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter into computer for analysis.

Requirements

  • Quality Technician degree or certificate.
  • 1 -3 years of Quality Technician experience
  • Proven strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with MS Ecel and other related programs.
  • Keyboard/typing skills of 90 words per minute.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

May be willing to train as an entry-level position.

Preferred Experience

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
