Position Summary:

As a Financial Analyst, you will analyze past and present financial data for the Service Operations business, prepare business cases, and estimate future expenditures to support Management decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile, compare, and analyze monthly actuals vs budget and forecast

  • Support Accounting with the monthly close process

  • Prepare and distribute monthly internal management reporting, including actuals vs budget and forecast by region and windfarm, identifying risks and opportunities

  • Reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI’s through scorecards

  • Work with the team to put together, review, and challenge monthly forecasts

  • Understand and track all the different costs of a service business unit and analyze potential cost reductions

  • Review, challenge, and approve After Sales figures before submission

  • Work with field management to analyze the potential improvements in the service process and to explain variations on costs

  • Coordinate with different departments to gather information for the yearly budget

  • Coordinate and work closely with accounting for accuracy and efficiency of reporting

  • Develop new tools for cost understanding

  • Work closely with tooling department to manage CAPEX

  • Support senior leadership team on ad hoc analysis and reports as required

  • Consolidate and monitor risks and opportunities for the division

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Nordex seeks to employ qualified, fiscally responsible individuals in sensitive positions within the company. Therefore, all candidates who are selected for employment at Nordex for a position that regularly engages in handling credit cards, cash, or other company funds must undergo a credit check.

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting/Finance required.

  • MBA preferred.

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex.

  • Ability to identify areas of financial risk, inform management and develop contingency plans.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills.

  • High level of computer literacy to keep up with current analytical tools and monitor business performance; experience with, SAP platform is a plus.

  • Ability to work in an environment of continuous change and different challenges.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to boil down trends into concise operational reports.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the staff within the company.

  • Positive and professional attitude and strong leadership skills.

  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
