Primary PurposeMaximizes profitability, revenue, and market share through the development and implementation of marketing pricing strategies for specific assigned commodities.
Principal Duties
  • Identifies and responds to pricing and marketing opportunities, requests, and negotiations on assigned commodities with customers, other railroad carriers, and other departments.
  • Maintains the pricing database, covering assigned commodities with the goal of pricing simplification, accurate billing, and timely collection through computer applications and file maintenance.
  • Manages relationships with customers to gain market intelligence and convert into strategic opportunities that yield contribution growth carloads
