Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in closing the month for multiple companies, understand the intricacies of the Staffing Industry & have a strong knowledge in multi-state Payroll Administration

• This person must also have Deltek CostPoint knowledge or take the initiative to learn the software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree

• 5 years experience in the area

• Proven experience in month-end closing and accounts reconciliation

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Will supervise and serve as a back-up for the Payroll Specialist, Accounts Payable Specialist and Accounts Receivable Specialist

• Perform month-end closing process for 3 companies in a timely manner using Deltek CostPoint

• Present month-end financials to joint venture company's Board of Directors monthly

• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data

• Review weekly payroll for accuracy

• Assist in training and mentoring

• Learn how to process in-house payroll and AR/AP in order to serve as a back-up when team members are on PTO

• Prepare reports in Deltek CostPoint using Cognos

• Perform audits to ensure billing rates are accurate

• Conduct annual financial review preparation

• Manage documentation and application submission for diversity certifications

• Perform tax payment review and posting, monthly and quarterly state excise tax filing

• Perform annual 401(k) audit and census, 1095-C review/release, payroll reconciliation to payments, W-2 Prep, annual 940 Filing, state annual reports

• Provide support for Controller tasks as needed, including financial analysis and reporting
