Role Profile
JOB OBJECTIVE
REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years of related experience
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program and possession of a journeyman plumbing license
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical ability to perform plumbing duties, including lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces
- Journeymen with medical gas endorsement a plus
- Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must pass drug and background check.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and appliances
- Read and interpret blueprints and building codes to determine the layout and configuration of plumbing systems
- Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure they meet safety and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues, and develop effective solutions
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete projects on time and on budget
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices and other junior plumbers
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Keep up to date with new plumbing technologies and techniques

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
- Will talk and hear to communicate.
- Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls, and tools.
- May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
- Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
