Position SummaryThe Operations Manager will focus on our Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Production. You will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations, ensuring efficient production, timely procurement of materials, and seamless supply chain management.
Position Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain process, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, and distribution.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw material while maintaining quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain performance metrics such as lead times, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Purchasing
- Mentor the purchasing team in sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and resolve any issues promptly.
- Production Management
- Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Team Leadership
- Provide leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team, and regularly review performance to drive results and professional development.
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
- Proven experience in operations management, with a focus on supply chain, purchasing, and/or production within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, procurement processes, and production planning.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Exceptional communication and negation skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant software tools.
- Ability to personally live safe and hold themselves and other team members accountable by having their back in support of our Safety core value.
