This exciting position assumes the leadership role of care within Labor and Delivery. Overseeing the day to day operations of the patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, to include accountability for quality patient care, nursing staff performance and evaluation, and staff development. Promotes collaborative practice with other departments, physicians, and schools of nursing, and exhibits the ability to work with others, to find solutions to difficult technical or administrative problems.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Alabama or Multi-State RN license. BSN is required or a commitment or to obtain.
Experience: Minimum of four years of work experience in Women's Services and/or Newborn Nursery.
Certifications required: NRP, PALS, ACLS, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
