Multifamily Construction Operations Manager in the Chicago Metro

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering or related field 
• Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience in multifamily projects required. Preferred experience working with State and Local Housing agencies with a focus on Affordable Housing. 
• Decisive and detail-oriented professional who exhibits the ability to lead, manage, drive, and exert change within the construction process for multiple ongoing projects, while representing the highest interest of the company and its stakeholders.
• Established a record of successfully building an efficient and effective construction team to meet deadlines, of multiple ongoing construction projects, within budget and on schedule. 
• Oversee projects are throughout the Midwest; Illinois, Iowa, Indiana 

Responsibilities 

• Ownership of sequencing all aspects of multiple on-going multifamily construction projects, including; successful project planning, subcontractor negotiation, mobilization, and closeout. 
• Grow, mentor, and train the construction team to ensure successful company growth. 
• Ability to evaluate processes, at any point in the sequencing and make recommendations to senior management. 
• Set achievable benchmarks for individual construction team members, evaluate and hold them accountable for the achievement of benchmarks. 
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, peers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors. 

Job Type 

• Full-time; in-person Monday to Friday. 

Job Location 

• Villa Park, Illinois. 
• Project site, when required or necessary.
