Overview:
A a leading beauty and lifestyle publication renowned for its comprehensive coverage of beauty trends, skincare, and makeup is on the lookout for a passionate Associate Social Media Manager to drive the creation of engaging content for our social media platforms. This role involves designing visually appealing graphics and short-form videos to enhance storytelling across all social channels. You will also manage daily posts and scheduling on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. Working closely with various teams, you’ll support monthly cover launches, features, and commerce initiatives, while contributing to growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media content creation, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in beauty. This role requires creativity, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a knack for translating social metrics into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and design content tailored for different social media platforms.
- Handle daily posting, editing, and optimization of content on TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, X, and Threads.
- Collaborate with the video team on both daily tasks and larger projects.
- Work with the visuals team to adapt editorial content for social media.
- Provide daily recommendations and collaborate with editorial and commerce teams.
- Gather and edit user-generated content for social media use.
- Develop new ideas and strategies in partnership with the audience development team.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in social media content creation across various platforms.
- Proficiency in graphic editing and video editing, particularly with Adobe Suite (especially Premiere) and in-app editing tools.
- Experience with design tools such as Canva and Adobe Suite.
- Knowledge of posting and managing content on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest.
- A strong passion for social media and audience growth.
- Experience or strong interest in the beauty industry is highly desirable.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and a strong work ethic.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly synthesize and convey information.
- Must complete an editing test (writing, social media content, or video samples are beneficial).
