The Data and Opportunities Program Coordinator will report directly to the Assistant Division Director for Data and Opportunities. The primary purpose of this position is to provide program, financial and administrative functions to the multifaceted DPH Office of Data and Opportunity (ODO). This position plays significant leadership, management, and policy roles in enabling ODO to meet its program goals and developing and completing new strategic initiatives to improve data modernization efforts. The position works closely with the leadership within ODO in implementing programs and evaluating their success, and in accounting for the appropriate collection and use of the varied resources provided to ODO to achieve its mission. Whether in concert with leadership or on behalf of the ODO, this position actively seeks and manages grants, contracts, and/or interagency fund transfers to enable the continuance and/or expansion of the work within the ODO.
The ODO Program Coordinator regularly interacts with other leadership staff in DPH (including but not limited to the DPH Executive Leadership Team, DPH Business Section Chiefs and Branch Heads, and other DPH managers), as well as other departmental leadership as needed. While working under the general supervision of the Assistant Division Director for Data and Opportunity, the ODO Program Coordinator works with a high level of independence in decision making.
This person assists in identifying, implementing and evaluating clear administrative strategies for accomplishing mission-critical objectives, functions that go beyond fraud, waste, and abuse and/or the processing of administrative or financial documents. This individual will monitor mission results and risks as well as address potential problems throughout ODO. This person aids in the breakdown of internal and external barriers to achieving extraordinary performance, strengthening within the ODO the importance of collaboration, teamwork, and lasting partnerships with key stakeholders across state, Federal, academia, and private sector agencies.
The ODO Program Coordinator facilitates the acquisition of supplies, services, contracts, and personnel based on program needs as determined.

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in the program related to the area of assignment;
