The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) Information Technology Section is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of new law enforcement applications, business applications, and continuous support of existing applications for the SBI. It is also responsible for assessing needs for required hardware and system products needed to support the infrastructure, which is a mission critical environment supporting the law enforcement community users as well as the SBI. The section is constantly engaged in research and planning to position its environment to be consistent with North Carolina’s statewide technical architecture. Bachelor's degree in computer science, or an IT related field or a closely related field, from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in systems software programming; OR
Associate degree in computer science, or an IT related field or a closely related field, from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in systems software programming; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
