Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Bookkeeper who is interested in becoming an Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of our company, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate must have strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and a proven track record of success in managing accounting teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciling bank statements.
• Ensure that all accounting & operational records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Create monthly reports that demonstrate the financial and operational performance of the business and portfolio.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and implement processes to streamline financial operations.
• Manage and monitor cash flow, including banking and investment activities.
• Performing treasury management functions including debt & investor fund administration and distribution management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification preferred, Excellent knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Technologically-savvy with strong Excel skills.
• Prior experience with Rent Manager software is preferred.
• Real estate investment; construction accounting and / or real estate development experience a plus
• Working knowledge of Rent Manager software a plus
