Technician mechanical and electronic instrument and gauge repair and restoration
compensation: $22 and up depending on experience and qualifications with an immediate increase after probationary period Technician with mechanical and analog electrical background. Automotive, electronics, clock repair, assembly skills helpful. Excellent mechanical aptitude with a "hands on" approach to problem solving. Located in North Hollywood. We are an extremely busy 70 year old company specializing in the repair and restoration of precision instruments, speedometers, gauges and clocks. We are the market leader with a great reputation for excellent customer service and high quality work. Ideal candidate will be able to: Competently work with small tools on precision instruments. Have an excellent eye for detail. Troubleshoot Control boards and repair basic electrical circuits. Solder electrical components. Dis-assemble and assemble precision mechanical devices. Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics. Work with basic shop tools such as drill press, lathe, grinders, polishers, sand-blaster, etc. Have an understanding of volt-meters, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other circuit testing equipment.
