North Knoxville Medical Center, part of the Tennova Healthcare Network, is hoping you’ll join our team as a Float Pool Registered Nurse(PRN).

Float Pool Registered Nurse Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN License

About North Knoxville Medical Center
North Knoxville Medical Center, an 116-bed acute care hospital (expanding in 2024), was the first outpatient hospital campus in the Powell, Tennessee area for cancer care, imaging and women’s services.

The center offers:
  • Cancer diagnostics, treatment, and support services
  • Interventional cardiology services; advanced imaging services
  • A brand new (as of December 2021) cardiac rehabilitation program
  • Women’s diagnostic services and educational programs

About the City
A 15-minute drive to Knoxville, Powell, Tennessee is a place where history meets modern-day convenience. Gorgeous homes can be found along Emory Road and the unique neighborhoods of Powell. Visit Powell Station Park with the kids, which features a skatepark, playground, 9-hole disc golf course, and splash pad. The paved loop circles the play area and connects with the Powell Greenway, while the nature trail winds over to the creek. Eastern Tennessee: where opportunities abound!

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse Prefer Bachelors degree in Nursing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • 2 - 3 years: 2 year med surg, ICU or ER

  • Associates or better in Nursing
