You know what connected feels like when you are part of our team. #WhatConnectsYou Job Description Distribution and Transportation: Accurately and efficiently transports lab-related supplies, equipment, specimens, reports, and x-ray films to and from laboratory outreach clients Responsible for maintenance and appearance of assigned vehicle Abides all laws and regulations while driving assigned vehicle Specimen Handling & Processing: Matches received specimen to requisition and verifies required information Safely packs, stores, and transports specimen in compliance with regulatory guidelines Processes specimen and applies barcode labels prior to delivery to core lab for testing Will work closely with clients to ensure compliance with Outreach policies and procedures Communication: Accurately and efficiently address/respond to inquiries concerning pickup and transportation of specimens and laboratory supplies Customer Service Answer telephone in an polite and efficient manner Provide a high level of customer service Perform courier services in a manner to provide a high level of quality to our customers Employee Relations: Works as part of a team with all Pathology and NMHS employees Education: Participates in continuing education programs to maintain and expand skills Stay abreast of regulatory changes Regulation : Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines Complies with appropriate Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues Job Knowledge: High School Diploma or equivalent, required; Valid Mississippi Driver’s License and acceptable driving record/history; required 1 year laboratory experience; preferred Good organizational and communication skills;
