Job Description


* Performs high quality/cost effective diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Staff Tech* Assists Physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required* Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner* Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, other medical staff and NMMC staff members* Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs * Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations* Stay abreast of changes in Radiology* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines* Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues* All other duties as assigned.**Requirements:*** High School Diploma or equivalent; required* Successful completion of 3 semesters of didactic and clinical competency requirements from an accredited Radiologic Technology program; required* Registered or registry eligible by the American Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of accepting position; required (ARRT)* Licensed or license eligible by the State of Mississippi within 6 months of accepting position; required (MRT)* American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification; required* Good written and verbal communication; required* Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics; required* Serves patient population categories of infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
