Biltmore Family Medicine in Asheville, NC has exciting new opportunity for the right person! We are seeking a Medical Scribe to join our team. Successful candidates will display excellent teamwork, accountability and will excel in a high performing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Physician, update the patient’s electronic medical record (EMR), documenting individual patient exams for physicians to review and sign off
- Assist with completion of forms and documents as directed by the Physician
- Ensure HIPAA Compliance by protecting patient confidentiality and practice operations by maintaining information confidentiality
- Other tasks as assigned by the Physician
Requirements
- Clinical or patient care experience preferred
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Strong medical terminology background
- Ability to type at least 60 words per minute
Other Skills/Abilities
- Ability to anticipate the needs of their assigned provider over time
- Pay close attention to detail
- Exemplary time management
- Ability to handle constructive criticism in a positive manner
