Kitchen Staff Salary Range
  • $15.00/hr. - $17.23/hr.

We serve people with insurance, Health First Colorado (Medicaid), Medicare, CHP , those without insurance, and those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket. Food ServicesPrepares and cooks family-style meals for residents of designated facilities. Assist in ensuring the nutritional and dietary requirements of facility residents are met. Follow rules and regulations to assure health and safety protocol in food service practices
Duties Performed
  • Assists cook in preparing food and cooking according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served. Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, or poultry; bake breads, rolls, and other pastries; wash and prepare fruits and vegetables, etc.
  • Portion and serve food to facility residents, employees, or patrons.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment thoroughly.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain work areas, kitchen, and equipment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functional operations. Report safety issues to the Kitchen Manager immediately,
  • Ensure proper food storage according to health department regulations; examine foodstuffs to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications.
  • Transport food to applicable sites as required.
Education/Credentials
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred
  • A Valid Drivers License that meets agency insurability requirements
Experience
  • 1-year working in the same/similar capacity; experience cooking in nursing homes, hospitals, school cafeterias and/or similar institutions preferred.

Seat Number: The seat will need to be created Salary placements will vary and may be above the starting wage based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education, and licensure. Salary placements will generally occur between the starting wage and the midpoint of the salary range.
Employees may be eligible for additional pay based on program, evening, night, weekend, or holiday work. Bilingual pay may be available upon successful passing of language validation testing.
