Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the veterinary clinic's calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal handling, restraint, and examinations
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Process payments for services rendered and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of animal husbandry, medical collection, kennel operations, equine care, veterinary critical care, animal catheterization, animal care, laboratory procedures, animal handling, and animal restraint is a plus
- Familiarity with veterinary software systems for scheduling appointments and managing patient records is desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other staff members
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
