We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Part-Time Sewing Machine Sales Associate to join our team.

Job Description

As a Part-Time Sewing Machine Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the best sewing machines for their needs, demonstrating product features, and providing excellent customer service. Your role is key in helping customers feel confident in their purchases and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Assistance:

- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs and preferences regarding sewing machines.

- Provide detailed information about the features and benefits of various sewing machines.

- Demonstrate the use of sewing machines and assist customers in test-driving them.

- Sales & Product Knowledge:

- Achieve sales by recommending appropriate sewing machines and accessories to customers.

- Stay updated on the latest sewing machine models, features, and industry trends.

- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and promotions offered by the shop.

- Customer Service:

- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.

- Assist customers with after-sales support, including troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance.

- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with their purchases.

- Store Operations:

- Keep the sewing machine area clean, organized, and visually appealing.

- Ensure all sewing machines are properly displayed and priced.

- Assist with inventory management, including restocking and organizing merchandise.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in a similar environment.

- Strong knowledge of sewing machines and their various features or willing to learn.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Ability to demonstrate sewing machines and assist customers with hands-on trials.

- Enthusiasm for sewing, quilting, and related crafts is a plus.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
