Together, we can continue to provide the highest level of care and create a brighter future for those we serve.The Director of Human Resources plans, organizes, implements, and controls the human resources functions of the hospital to promote the effective management and utilization of personnel. Ensures ongoing compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements, and accreditation standards. This position plans, coordinates and administers policies, procedures and programs that relate to all phases of human resources including employee relations, compensation, benefits, training and development, and recruitment of employment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct company strategic recruitment and selection plan.
  • Facilitate company strategic training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of company employees.
  • Administer compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
  • Provide counsel to Directors, Managers, and Supervisors regarding effective employee management; administers performance evaluation systems.
  • Oversee procedures and technology solutions to improve human resource data management.
  • Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on change to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage annual budget for the department and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
  • Recommend, establish, and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Administer Leave of Absence program.
  • Administers Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment program.
  • Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Serve on planning and policy-making committees; administer Employee Council program.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate HR department employees.
Qualifications Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Personnel Administration, Industrial Relations or related field; four (4) years Human Resources experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience as Human Resources Director or Assistant Director (preferably in health care) preferred or five (5) years’ experience in a senior-level Human Resources position required.
  • Masters Degree in field, plus PHR or SPHR highly preferred.
